Zumiez, a leading retailer in action sports apparel, launched their 10th Annual Zumiez Cour Tour on May 19 and rolls to a stop July 1. The tour highlights skateboarding demos by numerous professional boarders as well as feature live music performances. Bands rocking include Bayside, DanceGavinDance, Hawthorne Heights, Hit the Lights, and The Maine—playing on a stage sponsored by Skullcandy headphones. recently along the east coast, Hawthorne Heights and Bayside played to a crowd in the 97 degree heat.

The twelve stop tour features many contests and giveaways, but most importantly a chance for unknown, amateur skaters to win a coveted spot skating with their idols. Each stop includes a round in Zumiez Best Foot Forward AM Contest Series, where the overall winner from each stop will win a free trip the last stop of the tour, in St. Paul, MN. In Minnesota, all seventeen finalists will compete at the Best Foot Forward Finals, and the top three scores will earn a free trip to compete at the Annual Hometown Heroes Finals at X Games on July 31.

Each stop parked its wheels in mall plaza parking lots, which pull away each night. Professional Skate teams performing include Fallen, Zero, DGK, Lakai, Almost, Volcom, Enjoi, RVCA, KR3W, and Toy Machine.

The Zumiez Couch Tour is an opportunity for the retailer to give back to shoppers, skaters, and fans. The merge of skateboarding, music, and social groups skates all across the country this summer.
